Colic

I gave birth to my beautiful son in early November 2012.  James had trouble with wind and digestion from day one, and we tried everything.  I changed his formula, I purchased special bottles for colic babies, and I read every article there is available on the condition that is called colic.
After 8 weeks of sleepless nights, and general unhappiness, I decided to ask my public health nurse what we could do.  That was the moment my life changed.  It was a dark, dreary Monday morning, as I left my public health nurse, with a piece of paper with the name ‘Ellen Wakefield’ and a number for a chiropractic business in Clane.  The end of that week looked and felt a lot brighter!!  I will be honest, I had my doubts, perhaps it was my own ignorance but I just didn’t think this was going to work.  I made the appointment for January 12, 2013.  James screamed through his first session- I was sceptical, I was nervous- who wouldn’t be.  How wrong was I?  Ellen made both my husband and I feel very comfortable and at ease, she explained what she was going to do, and to be honest, the session was over before I even realised.  James slept for 3 hours after that- the longest nap he ever had!  That was the Saturday.  We had 2 more visits that week, and on Thursday January 17th, James Canny slept the night- 10 hours without waking.  I 100% believe this was down to the amazing and effective, yet gentle work done by Ellen.  We continued the visits twice a week for a month and then reduced it to once a week.  My Prince smiled each time he saw Ellen, even my 3 year old was asking when we are going to see the magic doctor!  James has been sleeping the night constantly 10-11 hours since that first visit with Ellen.  If you are a mother/father struggling with seeing and hearing your little one with digestion/colic related problems, don’t wait it out, don’t get stressed, ring Ellen- you will not regret it!  It was one of the best decisions I have made this year- the only problem is I wish I had known about her sooner!

Colic

I was at my wits end with my new born baby boy….. prolonged periods of hysterical crying appearing extremely uncomfortable and stiff and wasn’t feeding. Ellen could pinpoint his areas of need within the first session and by the second session he was like a different child! I cannot thank Ellen enough for her expertise and genuine caring nature. I highly recommend her to new patients who are a little concerned about their new arrival. Amy
